Start Your Own Real Estate Photography Business eBook Timothy Denbo
If you want to read the essence of how to start up a real estate photography business, this is just your ticket. I had a friend (real estate agent) ask me to do a shoot for a new listing he had. He mentioned that it was taking about two weeks to get his regular photographer to do the job and that was slowing down his closings. I have been a nature photographer for many years, but had never considered real estate before.I started searching for information about this subject and discovered Tim Denbo’s little book about starting a business shooting real estate. It is not a long book (read it in one afternoon) and that’s one thing I really like about it. It was right to the point and filled with just the sort of info I wanted to help me decide if this was a venture I should attempt. I came away with a positive view of the business and learned much about what I needed to do to get started, especially about virtual tours, a huge part of what’s going on at the sales end of real estate marketing these days. I liked the book. Some might find it a little lean, but what’s in it is the important stuff without the fluff.

Start Your Own Real Estate Photography Business eBook Timothy Denbo Reviews
Have not had time to review. Sorry!
What a great book!! Sounds just what I would have loved to have when I started my business 14 years ago. I have had to learn all that stuff by my self. I believe you nailed it on the head as to starting and running a successful business. Good Luck!! A must read!!
I feel bad about giving this review but at the same time it needs to be written so that nobody else wastes their hard earned money on this e-book.
The only info that was found to be useful was learning a bit (very little) about virtual tours which I didn't know about.
With that said, I can not figure out who this book would benefit..
If your a photographer* then there is nothing new in this for you
If your an agent then there is also nothing for you to learn as the author states right at the beginning that this is not a learn to shoot book.
*When I say "Photographer" I mean a person with more then instagram and an iPhone or a rich person who can afford a high end camera but does nothing but snap photographs with the camera set to "Auto".
A real photographer knows what depth of field is and what an aperture is and how to change your f-stop. A real photographer can set his white balance and can tell you what "noise" is. A true photographer can filling the missing word in this sentence
(Chromatic _______ happens when using cheap lenses)
The only way this "book" had a chance at being somewhat worth the cost, would have been if they included an appendix of important sites, agencies, association, etc pertaining to the real estate world .............. but it doesn't.
Please skip this purchase and probably any other "how to" books from this author.
Think of this book as an abridged summary of what you need to consider if you're thinking of starting up a photo business. Glad I read it.
I think the book covers the basics of what someone would need to know to begin but not enough to really be a professional. I think more effort should go into showing how to set up the shots and the lighting. The book should also give more detailed post processing
I have owned my own business for over twenty years. If your brand new to owning your own business read everything you can including this book. If you have knowledge of owning your own business I would pass. I didn't learn anything new. I am New to photo business but have owned real estate related business. This is more starting your own business 101.
Very general information that was easily found online. Good basics if you're a book person rather than the type of person to do a little research online.
